A set of conjoint twins were delivered last Thursday the 13th of August 2015 in Bambalang village of Ndop central sub division, Ngoketunjia Division of the North West Region. As the story goes, “Safuratou Arrieptoyap mother of the said twins began labour on the 10th of august 2015 and was later taken to the Mbissa Island health center where she spent two days in labour. Considering the difficulties in giving birth, the nurses advised for further medical attention, she was later admitted in a private clinic known as Care Center Clinic Bambalang on the 13th of August 2015. There she was operated upon before giving birth to the conjoint twins of female sex at about 3pm”.
The parents of these twins are based in a quarter known as Mbissa Island (Kangwo) and they are all peasant farmers. Mbissa Island is one of the Islands in Bambalang village created by the construction of Bamendjin Dam.
For now the mother, father and the twins are seemingly doing well as the family look forward for further medical attention. It is however difficult for the parents to evacuate the children for proper medical care given their poor financial status. They are therefore in dying need of any form of assistance that can help separate the children and ameliorate the deteriorating health of the mother. Speaking to ngoketunjiaonline, family members expressed allot of surprise and began associating it with witchcraft and witch-hunting.
People of goodwill, Organizations and Madam Chantal Biya are invited to assist.
