The Honorable member of parliament for Ngoketunjia North Constituency was speaking at the Babessi ceremonial ground as he officially presided over the finals of a students’ competition which he donated. The competition was organized in the three Sub Divisions of Ngoketunjia Division. The finals in Babessi was won by Babessi village while that of Balikumbat will be played Saturday 05, September 2015 and Ndop Central on Sunday 06th, September.

Speaking, the Mayor of Babessi Council, Mr. Chuoh Issa Buba called on children to be vigilant as they prepare to go back to school. While inviting them to move in groups, the Mayor called for all strangers to be reported to competent administrative authorities in the face of increasing insecurity. The competition was competed for by students’ union of all the four villages that make up Babessi Sub Division while the finals was between Baba I students and Babessi Students.

The competition animated holidays in Babessi Sub Division as youths and not only students were kept busy and brought together. To the youths, some of whom we accosted, they need many more sporting activities to keep them busy during summer holidays.

Speaking to the press, the captain of the Babessi students’ team revealed that thanks to the competition, he has been able to associate with students from other villages “Thanks to this competition, I have been able to associate with students from other villages, we have fun together after our matches and we discover one another. In the past we used to have inter-quarter but since last year we have been having inter-village and now inter-village students’ competition.  The money we have been given will help us prepare for back to school and the words from the member of parliament will greatly inspire us while in school. I used to only hear about him, but thanks to this competition I have been able to see him and touch him, . . . I feel proud of myself”.

  2. In fact the message from Hon. Njingum answers it all. Go back to school and work hard for tomorrow you become leaders. This message empowered youths who disturbs in schools. We should all sit up as one and work for our success. One more Mr. Isofa more grease to your elbow the sky is your limit. we shall watch the Unity Match in Bamunka on 06-09-2015 together.
