Late Tantoh Amos was a business man who lived in Britain and hails from Bambalang Village of Ndop Central Sub Division, Ngoketunjia Division, North West Region. He will be remembered in Bambalang and the region at large as one of the richest men in his generation. He was popularly known as “Tantoh-Sha’a” in Bambalang and succeeded in putting smiles on many faces before his demise.
Tantoh Amos is widely known especially when he made it clear that anyone with any problem could call him for assistance. This many did and he assisted by constructing houses for them, donating hospital equipments, school materials, money and many other items. Once in Bambalang and approaching the market square, one can clearly notice houses constructed by Tantoh Amos for not only his relatives but others. Tantoh-Sha’a is reported to have died last May 10, 2015 (family sources) in Britain where he spend almost his entire life.
He mortal remains arrived Cameroon on the 10th of September 2015 and taken to the Bamenda Regional hospital mortuary before being conveyed to Bambalang on the 12th of September for Burial.
After paying of last respect by Family members, friends and sympathizers, He was finally laid to rest in his compound, Bambalang Village of Ndop Central Sub Division.
My Bible says “By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.” Tantoh-sha’a has eaten from the sweat of his brow and is returning to where he came, May his soul rest in perfect peace.
