Hon. Njingum Musa’s inter village competition entered the first day of play today 13/12/2015 in Ndop central sub division with two matches on program. In the first match, the “Peuchop” guys from Bamali humbled their brothers, the “Meukoh” boys from Bamunka by one goal to nil (1-0) while in the second match, faith repeated itself as the Nsei boys overpowered and humiliated their counterparts from Mbaw-Yakum. The Match between the Nsei boys from Bamessing and the Mbaw-Yakum guys from Bambalang was expected to generate allot of fireworks as both teams clashed during the peace and unity students competition last summer holidays. This time around, not only did the Bamessing team come with a full house, football lovers from Bamessing (e.g Isa Idrisuh), Fans and HRM the Fon of Bamessing all turnout to give the Bamessing team the moral boost they deserved. On their part, the Mbaw-Yakum guys were playing like a team from nowhere, first and foremost, their counterparts were well dressed in new football jerseys demonstrating they were fully prepared for a competition of this magnitude while the Bambalang team could only manage the jersey of a quarter(Mbantono) used during inter quarter competition in the village. Jerseys that were not even well washed talk less of being attractive.
HON. NJINGUM AND OTHER DIGNITARIES GREET THE PLAYERS OF BAMBALANG
The issue of Mbantono jerseys used during an inter village competition by Bambalang only caught the eye of this reporter when one other colleague asked why Mbantono was written behind the sporting shirts of the guys from Bambalang. Neither was it Bambalang nor Mbaw-Yakum, perplex and curious, ngoketunjiaonline could only learn that the team had no jerseys and could only beg that of Mbantono.

Other matches will be played according to the program on our previous post.

The article of association of MC2 Bamunka was given some modifications during an Annual General Assembly Meeting (AGM) Sunday 12/12/2015. According to the modifications and prominent among other things, names of delinquent debtors are to be made public henceforth. The AGM came at a time when it was an open secret in Ndop town that some staffs of MC2 Bamunka had embezzled some amount of money and were consequently sacked and taken to court. Accordingly, in his presentation, the head of the internal audit committee Fongong Roland (A.K.A Monaco) could not mince words and called a spade a spade. According to the internal audit committee, money was embezzled especially in 2014 when over 235.000.000 FCFA disappeared. Upon their control, they realized that part of the money was withdrawn from Afriland First Bank and disappeared between Afriland and MC2 Bamunka while part was illegally withdrawn from members account by staffs without the concern of the owners. In effect, the internal audit committee regretted the fact that neither the Board of Directors (B.O.D) nor the support structures respected their numerous recommendations which would have gone a long way to minimize the damage. Members were also accused of not collaborating with the internal audit committee reason why it was difficult for the internal audit committee to remedy the situation. “You cannot imagine that members are afraid to give their passbook to internal auditors, they prefer to give it to the staff who is being audited. How do you then expected the staff not be smart. However, auditing is not a war as it is just a way to make sure things are right. Secondly it is difficult to consult all accounts and consequently accounts are checked randomly”. Fongong Roland lamented. In his speech, the representative of AFriland Fist Bank pledged a support of 10milion FCFA as subvention to MC2 Bamunka to assist in the crisis. Further, he promised that AfriLand First Bank will assist with operative expenses and in the legal follow-up by giving financial assistance and legal experts to enable the recovery of the embezzled funds. The B.O.D witnessed some slight restructuring with two new members while the team will continue to be led by Mr. Fopa Elvis as president of the B.O.D. The two new comers include maître Ngongang Regobert and Mr. Tafili Magnus.
Among the recommendations arrived at include,
The AGM ended with light refreshment.
Mr Njoya Alpha, ngoketunjiaonline columnist labels Hon. Njingum Musa the kind of grassroots MP capable of leading his people. As a columnist on ngoketunjiaonline, Mr. Njoya Alpha provides free thinkers opinion on issues taking place within Ngoketunjia Division.
Writing, Mr. Njoya Alpha believes Hon. Njingum Musa is a politician who knows what the youths of his constituency and division needs to be united. According to the passionate football lover, the member of parliament who doubles as a “Questor” in the national assembly of Cameroon has proven beyond reasonable doubts that unity for all, whether indigenes or not is the best for Cameroon’s emergency and describes the MP as one who knows no boundary in his quest for peace and love among Ngoketunjia sons and daughters.
“We are just very elated and happy to have such a dynamic MP from Ngoketunjia North who knows no boundary as an MP because I remember that he has proven beyond reasonable doubt that Unity of all whether indigenes or otherwise is the best for Cameroon”. Mr. Njoya Alpha.
Comparatively, the football pundit thinks Hon. Njingum cannot be compared to any politician within his ranks and beliefs he stands in a class of his own. To him, looking at other divisions in the northwest region for example, none of Hon. Njingum’s activities is being carried out elsewhere.
“Comparatively u have been to Menchum; can you tell me if for your stay there u have seen this kind of workaholic MP!!!”
“Come to think of it, organising a competition of this magnitude in football and handball goes a long way to demonstrate that Hon Njingum is truly the kind of grassroots MP who can march his people forward” Mr. Njoya Alpha.
While hoping that this competition will generate the necessary intensity, ngoketunjiaonline columnist hopes Hon. Njingum’s inter-village competition paves the way for new talents to be harvested and a team registered for the regional league with the hopes of having an elite two team in the division which will replace the lone elite two team which was relegated due to what he termed poor and bad faith management.
“We are going to dictate more budding talents in all the 13 villages in the Division and why not propose to Him to think of putting hands on deck to see that we harvest the talents of this Unity Cup and if possible register a regional team that can go ahead to replace our beloved Elite Two team that was relegated due to some kind of poor and of course bad faith management!!!!”. Mr. Njoya Alpha.

The meeting was held on Friday 04th December 2015 at the Ndop council hall with presidents and captains of village teams. This meeting was cheered by the honorable member of parliament for Ngoketunjia North Constituency, Hon. Njingum Musa. In his welcome speech, the 1st Deputy Mayor of Ndop council, Mr. Mbapah Anthony made mention of the fact that sports is the backbone of Cameroon and expressed his delight that Ndop council hall was chosen to host the event.
Speaking, the Hon. MP emphasized on the fact that the cup is a serious one which needed peace, love and unity to move forward. He promised meeting the various Fons of Ngoketunjia so that the competition will given the importance it deserves. He pleaded that the players practice good behaviour which was going to add to the success of the cup. This year the ladies handball is to be encouraged and plans made to start their own competition. The competition caries a cash prize of 1.5 million for men and 1 million for women with the possibilities of it being increased while the member of parliament disclosed that the minister of sports and physical education shall personally watch the final of the competition which is aimed at promoting the spirit of love, peace and unity among Ngoketunjia sons and daughters. The competition shall be exclusively reserved for sons and daughters of Ngoketunjia division, meaning only people who will be able to show proof of being a son or daughter of Ngoketunjia division or permanently residing within the division will be allowed to take part in the competition. This is because previous competitions have always been marred with the hiring of players from neighboring towns thereby not giving the Ngoketunjia children the opportunity to show their talents. This to the honorable will avoid a situation where other teams will be too powerful compared to others. Mr. Lobga Gorge divisional delegate of sports and physical education is the chairman of the divisional organizing committee while mayors of the three council areas are the chairmen of the various sub divisional organizing committees. Speaking on the weekly mirror over stone fm radio (a community radio in Ndop), The chairman of the divisional organizing committee revealed that the competition will kick start before the 15th of December and the value of the trophy does not include running cost which literally means a separate budget has been set aside for running the competition with the MP responsible. All 13 villages that make up Ngoketunjia Division were represented during the meeting and pledged their total commitment to producing good football and playing to the objective of the donor “Let Peace, Love and Unity Reign Among Ngoketunjia Sons and Daughters, it is only together that we can forge ahead”. Speaking, the Divisional president of the FECAFOOT league for Ngoketunjia, Mr. Tafili Magnus in few words thanked the Hon. MP for his efforts supporting sports and making Ngoketunjia proud. He revealed that Ngoketunjia was ranked first in the North West region with respect to the promotion of sports and football during their coordination meeting and attributed this to the efforts of the MP especially his peace and unity students competition that animated the summer holidays. It should be recalled that Venerable Senator Dingha Ignatius donated a trophy “Peace and Unity Cup Competition” last year. The members of both houses of parliament are thus on course telling Ngoketunjia Sons and Daughters to be one and indivisible.

when it happens in ngoketunjia, we know it and when we know it, you know it and ofcourse we know
We are governed by politicians and they determine our wellbeing. It is no secret in our country and Ngoketunjia Division in Particular that most people shy away from politics for one reason or the other. It is even alleged that competent and knowledgeable people who can take Cameroon to emergence are shying away from taking front line positions in politics. During the reorganization of the basic organs of the CPDM party in Ngoketunjia Division, the divisional commission charged with the process was headed by Dr. Fuh Calistus Gentry, a man who according to our readers did enough to merit the recognition of the Ngoketunjia people.
Dr. Fuh Calistus Gentry has been chosen as Ngoketunjia man of the month of November 2015.
BUT WHO IS NGOKETUNJIA MAN OF THE MONTH FOR NOVEMBER?
Born in 1963, Dr. Fuh Calistus Gentry is Secretary Of State in the Ministry of Industries, Mines and Technological Development. He was first appointed to the rank of Minister in 2007 after serving as Director General of Saitek Genie, a public works company from 1999 to 2007, he was also a lecturer at the University of Buea and a consultant at Cluff Ressources in London. He has a Masters and PHD in Mineral Exploration from the University of London. As leader of the divisional commission charged with the reorganization of the basic organs of the CPDM party in Ngoketunjia Division, Dr. Fuh Calistus Gentry had the uphill task of mediating to ensure that a consensus is achieved in the list of candidates brought forth for the Ngoketunjia I, II and III sections. This he did scoring 66.67% and went for the last resort in Ngoketunjia II Section where he again proved that he was the man in charge, introducing the use of a single ballot paper to minimize the selling and buying of votes. The reorganization exercise in Ngoketunjia I (Ndop Central) passed hitch-free with Dr. Ntoh Daniel (former mayor Ndop council) emerging as the section president of the main wing of the party while Mme Chengwe Cicilia (Director of the women’s empowerment centre) emerged as the president of the women’s wing and Mr. Fongong Roland (Lecturer G.H.S Bambalang) will lead the Youth Wing of the party. The trio, respectively from Bamunka, Bamessing and Bambalang fondoms led their various lists by consensus. In Ngoketunjia II (Balikumbat), Hon. Dingha Ignatius Banyin (Senator) won the position of president of the main wing after a hotly contested poll, and was followed by Mme Tanyi Esther for the women’s wing and Mr. Nchokeh Pezumbia Makazi for the Youth Wing. In Ngoketunjia III(Babessi), consensus was seemingly impossible until Dr. Fuh Calistus vowed that he would not allow militants in Babessi to go for elections given the political landscape. It was then that H.M. Fon Chafah XI of Bangolan met with the candidates, mediated and it emerged that Mr. Chindong David will continue to pilot the affairs of the party in Ngoketunjia III as section president of the main wing, Mme. Nyoh Margaret also chosen in to head the women’s wing and Mr. Tatangang Abdel Azizto heads the Youth Wing. It should be noted that none of them were contesting as all the contenders forfeited their positions in favour of consensus.
At the end, the ruling party is left stronger and people of Ngoketunjia made to understand what politics is all about.
When it happens in ngoketunjia, we know it and when we know it, you know.
