Prof. Uphie Chinje was speaking at the Babessi community hall and Ndop community hall while installing executive members of the three wings of the section this 01/07/2016. Accompanied by members of the permanent central committee delegation for Ngoketunajia, the message was the same in Babessi as in Ndop central.

Prof. Uphie Chenje Mello said the exercise is based on the vision of the national president to modernize the party both politically and strategically and during the 3rd ordinary congress of the party in 2011, in order to firmly sustain the CPDM party, article 28 was introduced “the national president may create at regional and divisional level, permanent delegations of the central committee to coordinate party affairs, every permanent regional or divisional delegation shall comprise of a head of delegation, members and charge de mission. The head of delegation who shall be a member of political bureau or central committee, the members and the charge de mission shall be appointed by a decision of the national president”.

The divisional permanent delegation is therefore mandated to play a supervisory and coordination rule to ensure unity in action, in all CPDM structures, the smooth functioning of all sectors of the party as prescribed in the basic texts of the party. Prof. Uphie Chenje Mello stressed that this is to ensure party unity, increase performance and implement the guidelines from the Central Committee. “I wish therefore to say here loudly and clearly that the advent of the permanent divisional delegation should not be misconstrued by the militants, it has not come to take over the functions of the section president and executives. The section president of the CPDM is the king of his section and remains the major architect of all political and developmental endeavors in his section. He is assisted by the WCPDM section president, YCPDM Section president and all their executives”.

The permanent divisional delegation is made up of Prof. Uphie Chinje Mello (Head of Delegation), Prof. Paul Mingo Ghogomu (member), Mme Sama Galabe Magaret (member), HRH Fon Chafah Isaac XI of Bangolan (member), Prof Mbufong Carl (member), Mr. Kometa Solomon (charge de mission) and Mr. Gabsa Sixtus Nyonya (charge de mission)

It should be recalled that, the reorganization exercise in Ngoketunjia I (Ndop Central) passed hitch-free with Dr. Ntoh Daniel (former Mayor Ndop council) emerging as the Section President of the Main Wing of the party while Mme Chengwe Cicilia (Director of the women’s empowerment centre) emerged as the president of the Women’s Wing and Mr. Fongong Roland (Lecturer G.H.S Bambalang) will lead the Youth Wing of the party.

The trio, respectively from Bamunka, Bamessing and Bambalang Fondoms led their various lists by consensus. In Ngoketunjia III (Babessi), consensus was seemingly impossible until Dr. Fuh Calistus vowed that he would not allow militants in Babessi to go for elections given the political landscape. It was then that H.M. Fon Chafah XI of Bangolan met with the candidates, mediated and it emerged that Mr. Chindong David will continue to pilot the affairs of the party in Ngoketunjia III as section president of the Main Wing, Mme. Nyoh Margaret was chosen to head the Women’s Wing and Mr. Tatangang Abdel Azizto heads the Youth Wing. It should be noted that none of them were contesting as all the contenders forfeited their positions in favour of consensus.
